Welcome to our school!

Introduction to Holt Farm Junior

Holt Farm County Junior School was opened in 1957 to serve the housing being developed to the north of Rochford town centre. The buildings are spaciously designing with wide corridors leading to well proportioned individual classrooms. There is a large assembly hall which is also equipped for physical education, and an adjacent playing field. The 10 permanent classrooms are supplemented by 2 demountable classrooms. The school has a heated learners swimming pool with excellent changing accommodation.

The school has a well developed playground including an outdoor theater, climbing frame, extensive shading and seated aeas and a wide range of playground activities.

In the past it has always maintained a good reputation in the community with many thousands of children having now passed through its doors. We are proud of the children's general behaviour and good manners shown both inside and outside of school. The staff and governors work hard as a team to ensure that the potential of every individual child is fully drawn out before transfer on to the secondary phase.

The majority of our children transfer on to the King Edmund Foundation School and we enjoy close links with the school and particularly enjoy hearing of the many successes former pupils have academically, sportswise and in serving the local community.
